As all good stories start, a carpenter and an architect went into a pub .... And in early 2021, Devils Brook Limited was born !
Having meticulously worked our way through our first shepherds hut, and with hundreds of hours research into history and build, and questioning every step, 'Jabba' the hut was finished ! (sorry, Star wars humour !)
Our aim was to produce a shepherds hut of timber construction and cladding, with a traditional mid 1800's curved corrugated iron roof, sat on a durable steel chassis and steel wheels. Like the original hut builders, traditionally farm workers, we don't rely on Computer Aided Design and machining, or MDF ! we rely on the skill of traditional craftsmen and women to produce our huts using carefully selected materials.
However, Unlike the original huts, The inside had to be luxurious and fully insulated, for four season use, and with all mod-cons !
